About the event
On Wednesday, May 7th, Film Adjacent will be screening acclaimed actor and filmmaker Richard Beymer. His 2010 film It's A Beautiful Life follows Beymer and old friend David Lynch as they visit the Transcendental Meditation guru Maharishi Mehesh’s various abodes across the Indian subcontinent. The film has only been shown at special engagements thus far, so we are lucky to have this available to share with you. The film will be presented by Wellington-based Transcendental Meditation teacher, and longtime friend of Richard's, Justyna Sobcowicz.
Of course, we will be hosted by the wonderful Undercurrent bookstore on the corner of Vivian and Tory. Doors open at 6:30. Screening commences after 7. The event is free for all attendees. Snacks and drinks provided—Koha’s welcome.
We are very grateful to the Wellington City Council and the Wellington Independent Arts Trust for supporting these events
